History

HMCsoft was originally founded as a programming club for local BASIC programmers. While we consider the club successful, we have never released software to the public before Recipe Database. HMCsoft was pretty much stagnant until our discovery of FreeBASIC.

FreeBASIC is a 32-bit BASIC dialect sharing the ease of use of older BASIC dialects with the power of modern C programs. Spurred by this discovery, Recipe Database verison .9 beta was rapidly developed. Since then, development has slowed because of work and personal relationships but has not halted. We have released several smaller programs since then and are active in the FreeBASIC community.
